The Badminton Agency Take the quiz

For coaches

Your career will outlast every player you coach.

A playing career runs eight years if you are lucky. A coaching career runs thirty. That makes you a far better long-term partner than the athlete standing next to you, and almost no brand has worked it out yet.

AuthorityYour recommendation carries weight a paid advert never will
LongevityPartners get decades, not the back half of a playing career
AccessYou reach the parents and players who actually buy
VolumeHundreds of athletes pass through your hands every year

Why coaches get missed

You are the most trusted voice in the sport and the least paid for it.

Brands chase ranking points because ranking points are easy to understand. Influence over a buying decision is harder to see and worth considerably more.

You sit on the purchase decision, not next to it. When a parent asks which racket their child should move to, which shoes will not wreck their ankles, or whether a summer camp is worth the money, they ask you. That is the moment a brand spends its entire marketing budget trying to reach, and you own it by default.

Trust transfers; fame does not. A player endorsing a product is an advert and everybody knows it. A coach recommending a product is advice. The conversion difference between those two things is enormous, and it is the reason education-led categories (nutrition, footwear, recovery, insurance, training technology) should be paying coaches properly.

Your audience renews itself. Every season brings a new intake of juniors and a new set of parents. A brand partnered with a player is buying that player's current following. A brand partnered with an academy coach is buying a pipeline that refills annually and has done for years.

Nobody has ever packaged it for you. Most coaches have a following, a reputation and a programme, but no rate, no media kit and no idea what any of it is worth. That is not a talent problem. It is an admin problem, and it is the part we do.

What we do for you

Turning expertise into income

Built around a coaching schedule, which means around early mornings, evenings and weekends.

01

Commercial audit

What you actually control (sessions, squads, parents, mailing list, social following, camps, courses and reputation), and which parts of it a business would pay to be associated with.

Enquire
02

Product & equipment partnerships

Beyond a discount code. Advisory roles, testing and feedback programmes, coach-education content and kit deals for the squads you run, negotiated as a commercial arrangement rather than a favour.

Enquire
03

Camps, clinics & courses

Your own programmes are a commercial asset. We help price them, find title or supplier partners for them, and structure them so a sponsor's involvement adds to the experience rather than interrupting it.

Enquire
04

Negotiation & contracts

Fee, term, exclusivity, what you are obliged to say and what you are never obliged to say. Coaching endorsements live or die on the credibility clause, and most coaches sign it without reading it.

Enquire
05

Delivery support

Someone to make sure the content gets filed, the sessions get reported and the partner stays happy, so the relationship reaches renewal without eating your evenings.

Who we look for

National badge optional

The most commercially useful coaches are rarely the most decorated ones. These are the traits that move a brand.

A standing squad

A group you see every week beats a one-off masterclass audience every time.

Parent relationships

In junior badminton the parent holds the wallet and takes your advice.

A teaching voice

You can explain why something works, on camera, without a script.

Consistency

Same courts, same nights, for years. Brands buy reliability more than reach.

A programme of your own

Camps, clinics or an academy give a partner something concrete to attach to.

Pathway influence

Coaches feeding players into county, regional or national squads shape the whole market.

Para-badminton expertise

A specialism that brands with real inclusion commitments should be funding.

An honest opinion

Coaches who will decline a product they do not rate are worth more, not less.

Getting started

What happens if you get in touch

Costs nothing to find out, and we will tell you if the answer is not yet.

Step 01

Introduction

What you coach, who you coach, what you already have running commercially and how much time you genuinely have spare.

Step 02

Honest assessment

A straight read on what you are worth today and what would move it. Sometimes that is a bigger squad; sometimes it is simply writing things down.

Step 03

Build the proposition

Numbers, story, assets and a clear offer, in a form a brand manager can approve without a second meeting.

Step 04

Take it to market

Approaches to the categories with a reason to buy coaching authority, then negotiation and delivery once someone says yes.

Questions

What coaches usually want to know

Ask anything else directly. No obligation, and no cost to have the conversation.

Does my club own my commercial rights?

Sometimes, partly, and it is the first thing we check. Employment contracts and club constitutions vary enormously. Where there is an overlap we would rather build something the club benefits from too, which tends to produce a bigger deal than trying to work around them.

I do not have a big social following. Is that fatal?

No. Coaching value is concentrated rather than broad. A coach with 900 followers who are almost all badminton parents in one region is more useful to the right brand than a general sports account with fifty thousand.

Will I have to endorse things I do not believe in?

Not through us. A coach who recommends anything they are paid to recommend stops being worth paying within a season. We build deals that survive you saying no to a product.

What does it cost me?

Commission on what we bring you. If we find you nothing, you pay us nothing, and you will know the rate before you commit to anything.

I also compete. Should I be on the athletes page?

Read both. If you are still competing seriously we would usually lead with your playing profile and treat the coaching as a second, longer-term asset. See athletes.
